The 4 pillars of our CSR commitments
At Codeo, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is at the heart of our mission. Aware of the importance of leading by example, we are committed to promoting a voluntary and authentic CSR approach.
It guides our decisions and fuels our desire to build a fairer, more sustainable business model that is committed to our environment, our employees and the communities around us.

Reduction of CO₂ emissions
Every three years, we measure the carbon footprint of our activities to measure and understand our emissions and identify the most effective levers for action.
Thanks to this tool, we are piloting concrete reduction actions, linked to our logistics activities, our buildings and our energy consumption.
Energy efficiency
- We optimize our infrastructure, use low-energy equipment and raise awareness among our teams to adopt eco-friendly actions on a daily basis, both in our workshops and in our offices.
- Since 2012, the roofs of our headquarters have been covered with solar panels. As a result, more than 30% of our energy needs come from our solar production! And that’s just the beginning: we plan to triple the surface area of solar panels on the site to produce 60% of the energy we consume by 2026.
Responsible waste management and recycling
We implement a rigorous policy of sorting, reducing and recovering waste, in particular Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE).
- Our partners are all approved and committed to responsible and traceable processing.
- End-of-life equipment and production waste are collected directly at our Hub and processed through approved channels.
- We guarantee compliance with standards and treatment of our WEEE in accordance with the obligations of decree no. 2024-134 and European WEEE directives.
Internal awareness
Achieving our environmental commitment objectives also depends on our employees.
Since 2018, we have organized internal challenges every year to raise awareness among our teams about environmental issues and encourage sustainable practices on a daily basis.
Each of these events systematically includes a CSR component with corresponding activities offered to employees, always with a focus on inclusion and awareness.
Improve the energy balance linked to employee transport
We encourage more sustainable travel options through the implementation of sustainable mobility packages, access to secure bicycle parking, and partial teleworking. Every route avoided or redesigned helps reduce our impact.
We also aim to replace the entire vehicle fleet with electric vehicles.
Strategic partnerships
Since its creation, Codeo has been committed to improving and standardizing practices for reusing professional IT equipment to establish market rules, promote “Made in France” reuse, and define a quality benchmark! To achieve this, we are personally active in leading French communities:
- SIRRMIET
- BPI Green Rooster
- Hop Association
- UN Global Compact
Acting with and for people
Codeo integrates social and societal concerns into its decision-making with the aim of contributing to both sustainable development and the well-being of society and its employees. Beyond the notion of economic development: all of the organization’s human resources are the daily players in the collective success of the Codeo group.
Internal mobility
Employee involvement combined with local management, access to training, and the opportunities of an international company, promote professional and/or geographical mobility in one of our European subsidiaries based in Poland, Germany, Great Britain and Spain.
Training and employability
Our goal: to offer young talents opportunities that will allow them to build their professional careers.
We are committed to transmission and offer internships and work-study programs throughout the year in all departments.
We work in partnership with private and public higher education institutions, and we are committed to welcoming students to support them in their learning.
Nearly 20 work-study and/or internship positions will be offered in 2024.
Collective Innovation
Integration and responsible employment
We promote the **employment of people in integration and with disabilities**, by collaborating directly on our site with adapted companies (EA), establishments and services providing assistance through work (ESAT) and structures for integration through economic activity (SIAE): ENVIE Rhone-Alpes, Ecodair and Nouvelle Attitude,
- 3 partners from the Social and Solidarity Economy
- +25 people on integration paths or with disabilities employed at the Rillieux-la-Pape site
- 5 people hired at the end of their integration process
Customer support and awareness
Associative partnerships
Since 2018, Codeo has set up an associative partnership allowing its customers to engage in “solidarity recovery” operations: a gesture that is both ecological and supportive, which allows the amount of recovery from the recovery of mobile terminals to be donated to the association.
Our partners can directly support projects to combat the digital divide through donations of equipment reconditioned and tested by Codeo.
Our employees are also involved through donations of time in the solidarity stopovers supported by the association. +€50,000 raised to finance and develop the projects of the Habitat et Humanisme Rhône association since 2018
