The process is generally organized in 3 phases.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">1 \/ Recovery and sorting of computer hardware equipment<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n\n<div>\n<p><br>First, the service provider assesses your computer equipment to offer you a valuation. The repurchase prices depend on the state of the various materials, depending on whether they are still in working order or defective. Then comes the time to uninstall your equipment. They thus become available for resale under warranty. The others are dismantled to recover the components, the spare parts, but also the metals.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">3 \/ Treatment of computer waste<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n\n<div>\n<p><br>Computer \u201cwaste\u201d turns out to be recyclable, but each with precise specificities. For example :<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>the components are generally crushed then burned by specialized outlets to extract the various metals (we speak of pyro-hydrometallurgy);<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>ferrous and non-ferrous metals \u2013 in particular aluminium, steel, copper are recycled;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>the screens are depolluted because they contain hazardous materials (including mercury) and then partly recycled.
